Labour Law
Fair, lawful workplace decisions for employers and employees.
A dismissal has serious financial consequences for both sides, and South African labour law does not forgive shortcuts. When a dismissal is found to be procedurally or substantively unfair, an employee may be reinstated or compensated, and the employer pays for the lesson. Knowing the process before you need it keeps costs down for everyone.
We assist both employers and employees.
A dismissal lands hard on both sides of the desk. Done fairly and by the book, it protects everyone it touches. Get advice early, because the cheapest dispute is the one that never begins.

Common questions
A dismissal must be fair in two ways: there must be a valid reason (substantive fairness) and a proper process must be followed (procedural fairness). If either falls short, the CCMA or Labour Court can order reinstatement or compensation.
Both. We draft contracts and guide disciplinary processes for employers, and we assist employees who believe they have been treated or dismissed unfairly.
The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration, the statutory body where most workplace disputes start. We assist with CCMA matters from the referral through preparation and the hearing itself.
